She designed the new uniforms for Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd., which marks the 140th anniversary of its founding in fiscal 2025. The design concept is “UNITY” (the power to bind, and solidarity). For JUNKO KOSHINO, the origin of the uniform lies in the happi coats of the Kishiwada danjiri festival — the strong bonds and sense of unity born of wearing the same garment and joining forces. Wishing to reflect that worldview, deeply rooted in her heart, in the uniforms of Nankai Electric Railway, which is connected to her hometown of Kishiwada, and believing that a uniform is not mere workwear but an important element that heightens employees’ pride and motivation, she created a uniform that unites beauty and function: a genderless, timeless, simple design in easy-care materials, engineered for freedom of movement.
