JUNKO KOSHINO has announced a collaboration with Seiko Epson Corporation (President: Minoru Usui; hereinafter “Epson”) that takes on a new expression of time through the EPD Wrist Wear “Smart Canvas,” unveiling four prototype models at “rooms34,” a joint fashion and design exhibition held from February 15 to 17. “Smart Canvas” is a new kind of wrist wear built on the theme of not merely knowing the time but “feeling time and enjoying time.” From “polar opposites” — JUNKO KOSHINO’s most fundamental concept, in which two opposing truths are held in tension without being merged, yet made to coexist and flourish — she draws the theme “SHIFT,” using a new typography to express four forms of time that coexist with everyday reality: WAVES (polar opposites), TENSION (tension), AMBIGUOUS (existence), and WHITE LOOPS (the cosmos).
